Patrick started off on the glamorous Irish/Iranian/Geordie stand-up circuit where he developed his warm and friendly, story telling style. He is a comedy festival regular and has performed his solo shows in cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leicester and Manchester (to name but a few), and also at most major venues throughout the UK, year round. He’s always performed shows across the globe from the West of Ireland to the Middle-East, Qatar, Dubai, as well as across most of Europe, including Luxembourg, Germany, Brussels, France, Greece and Monaco. He has appeared on numerous Television shows from BBC1, 2, 3 and 7 to ITV1 and 2, Channel 5, Sky 1 and UKTV, as a presenter, guest interviewee, panel member and performer. Currently much sought after as a regular TV & studio warm up - on shows such as: BBC 1’s Bafta award winning 'Friday Night Jonathan Ross', “The Friday Night Project”, and “The Kumars at No.42”. Monahan’s humour travels well. He not only engages the audience with charming banter about local affairs and universal issues, but also combines animated story telling style that draws on his own experiences of growing up in Teesside (North East of England), of Irish and Iranian Parentage. A comedian with truly global appeal or as the Daily Telegraph puts it, “a one man ethnic melting pot, a star in the making”.
