Wally White
Gary Cowling (November 4, 1961 in Newport News, Virginia) is an American stage and motion-picture actor.
A native of Virginia, Cowling grew up in Newport News. He olds a BA in Theater and Speech from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from West Virginia University. He has worked in theater, television, and film for a number of years.
Career
Cowling co-starred in the features What's Your Sign? (Audience Award Winner—San Antonio Film Festival) and Waldo Walker by Wally White. He also appeared in Celebrity and Judgment Call , and as a stuntman in Analyze This . Cowling worked with director Mira Nair in The Namesake and director Griffin Dunne in The Accidental Husband (2007) where he worked with Uma Thurman and Colin Firth.
His Off-Broadway credits included Burn This , Billy Budd , Love! Valour! Compassion! premieres of Edenville , Wingman , Burnam Woods , The Lost Language of Twins and The Older Gentleman. He has also appeared in To Kill a Mockingbird , Macbeth and Winter's Tale.
Regionally Cowling was nominated for a Carbonell Award and was named Best Actor (The New Times/Broward-Palm Beach) for his work as Mason in Take Me Out at the Caldwell Theatre in Florida.
